The representatives when you call the support line are bad. They have a fax line that's always busy and aren't modernized so sending documents electronically via encrypted format is not a solution. I think some of their procedures are inflexible and need to be reviewed.

So now another thankyou on behalf of spouse who had major surgery in Sudbury. I phoned today with a question and staff answering phone was very helpful. Again, form easy to download and print ... always forget to get the forms signed when at the doctor or specialists office, my reponsiblity but would be nice if office which has out of town patient mentions the form to the client or patient or even the referring doctor. Thanks again for helpful info. today and also help with the travel cost. (Lucy)

Appreciate so much he financial help with out of town Doctors and Procedure visits. The form is easily found on web site and simple to complete although I think its easier for referring doctor to fill out the form and give it to patient on the day the referral is made - as it means another appointment to see the referring doctor after going home and printing out form and taking back to have form signed. I needed to phone office in Sudbury with a question and it was answered quickly. It is good that help with hotel bill can apply to more than one night because sometimes see specialist one day and have procedure the next and it's too late to drive home. Stayed at a hotel downtown so we could take a taxi to the hospital re traffic, and it was very expensive for a plain room, and a lot to park car... so if we could not afford the extra $ I don't know what we would do. We don't go to Toronto to shop or enjoy, just room/hospital/room... so financial help is appreciated. It does seem to take a long time to process a claim - that would be my only negative comment.
